OpenRPF is an alternative to OpenIV.asi, which is now obsolete with GTA V's Enhanced version. It works in the same way, allowing modified files to be loaded from a mods folder, thus avoiding the need to modify the game's original files.
Features:
• OPEN & encrypted compatibility: OpenRPF supports both the game's native archives and those created with OpenIV (OPEN). No need to re-encrypt your modified files.
• rpf.cache bypass on Gen9: OpenRPF bypasses the rpf.cache for modified files placed in the mods folder, allowing them to load without additional intervention.
• Integrated ASI Loader: Just like OpenIV provided dinput8.dll, OpenRPF includes dsound.dll to enable ASI plugin loading in GTA V Enhanced (as well as loading OpenRPF.asi).
• Performance optimization: OpenIV.asi could cause slowdowns due to inefficient file loading management. OpenRPF fixes this issue for a smoother gaming experience.
Installation:
1. Extract the archive contents into the GTA V Enhanced directory (where GTA5_Enhanced.exe is located).
2. Create a mods folder.
3. Place your modified RPF archives inside this folder, just like with OpenIV.asi.
4. Launch the game and enjoy your mods on the Enhanced version of GTA V.
Warnings:
• The mod does not change file versions: Gen8 (GTA V Legacy) files on Gen9 (GTA V Enhanced) will cause a crash if used. Ensure you use GTA V Enhanced compatible files or convert them using Dexyfex's tool in CodeWalker.
• Some resources are not yet perfectly converted by CodeWalker: which may cause crashes or visual anomalies. If you encounter issues, feel free to report them on the CodeWalker Discord.

Hello, when i try to edit files in mods / update / x64 the game crashes on load, any help please ?
hey man love what ur doing, but sadly we need a update from open formats by alexander blade because this is just to load the rpfs, not change them. but great job at getting us one step further to modding this 13 year old game revised
ok
it freezes on startup
The game has been updated
Works amazingly, but the game has had a tiny update and this doesnt work right now.
Any chance this could be updated to generate a log file like OpenIV.asi does on Legacy? It's very helpful when trying to resolve a crash relating to the assets.
My game already updated to ver.1.0.3504.0(Legacy) and ver.1.0.813.11(Enhanced). ScripthookV is need to update
Can confirm that this does not work anymore, The Game starts and exits automatically and if i delete .asi file, Everything goes back to normal and the game launches just fine.
**UPDATE NEEDED**
@Allrounder687 no update needed. Works fine for me on 1.0.813.11
@trapx1 work how? i am on the same version and have you tried adding new stuff?
Also i am on Rockstar Launcher Version of the game..Maybe you are using steam with Command Line Argument?
@Allrounder687 yes i added mods and yes im on steam.
@trapx1 Actually you are right it works, I did not convert the mods..that is what i needed to do
For anyone who is facing the same issue
1.open RPF EXPLORER
2.Go to Tools > Asset Converter
3.Then use whatever mods you have downloaded and convert them one by one
4.Also in output folder path > create a new Folder named "output"
5. and then use rpf explorer to put all the converted mods back to your mods folder that is it.
Does this mean we can install/play the Back to the Future V and GrandCyberPunk mods in the Enhanced version?
updated one
@Allrounder687 idk i had mods working before. And when i converted it said conversion not neccescary. They mod i had broke something so i uninstalled and reinstalled and now nothing is loading despite my modded rpfs being there and having this ASI.
@nkjellman log is in: %appdata%\"\Los Santos Multiplayer"
@vytrol The game runs on Windows, not Linux. I still don't get why people don't run games on the platform it was meant for. Native code is the way to go here, all others means less performance and shit not working.
@sjaak327 The only thing not working was OpenRPF, the game and SHV were working as expected. Anyway, I don't blame OpenRPF as I'm not using the intended platform, hence why I didn't leave a negative rating. My intention was to post my experience to get potential feedback/solutions, possibly from people in the same boat as me.
after adding the open RPF base files to root directory and not adding any mods yet the game won't open! Do I need to remove directx.dll or xinput.dll from scripthookV?
