InversePower gives a small boost when you're drifting at low speed to keep on drifting.
InversePower counteracts vehicles in GTA V seeming to lose power when the vehicle is sliding. This makes driving (mainly) rear-wheel drive cars a bit more fun and predictable. Drifts and slides are easier to maintain and adjust. The lower the speed and the higher your angle, the more power is added.
This mod is inspired by Drift Assist by InfamousSabre and works similarly. The difference is that speed is used as a negative feedback to make cars not accelerate too much while drifting.

Big-ish update after 5 years :)
Some background: I rewrote this because the previous version caused the back on RWD cars to kick out considerably when already drifting. When using a wheel, this was impossible to catch. This was inherently incompatible with low-power RWD cars (stock AE86 handling), and the values in the old config were annoying to change and understand. So I rewrote the thing.
The "power" element was removed. This was initially added/made because of my wrong understanding of the old name, and the "power" thing actually also changed top speeds when called. This new version ditches that and just changes torque.
The default settings are good for most handlings, as it scales well from my AE86 handling (0.157 DriveForce, ~1.0 Traction) to more powerful handlings.
Top notch. Really do enjoy the diversity and control I can have with all of the settings. Is a possible menu planned for a future release?
@V3ry_H1GH Yea it is possible, pretty simple actually. Just grab all the surrounding handles of civilians with GET_PED_NEARBY_PEDS, copy and paste handle of the targeted found PED to the PLAYER only intended feature created by ikt.

the person who made the handling mod, DriveV, which has a version from 2023 released, has recommended to use this mod in conjuction with it. go check it out and use both this and that mod. lmk how it goes.
What does it mean when it says fLowSpeedTractionLossMult should be at or near 0.0? What is that, where, why?

That's in a vehicles' settings in handling.meta.
The higher the number, the more the wheels have less traction when stopped/slow. Combining InversePower and a high fLowSpeedTractionLossMult results in excessive sliding once you're sliding near 90 degrees.
@ikt weird issue after installing this mod ebrakes seem to work like poo or not at all :(
Is there like an optimal setup for this? It seems default settings don't do much, I can tell it working but seems rather tame.
Works great with my setup, no more spinning out on slight drifts.
