@MARK2580
Yep, that’s right. Even though the ini file suggests to set things to „0“ to deactivate them, you should leave the airbreak keys untouched.
I reconfigured and now it works flawlessly.
I just wish it wouldn’t have turned out in a such a toxic comment battle here which I have no interest in escalating further.
So thanks for the hint, appreciate it
@sjaak327
I‘m man enough to admit my fault which I will do right here.
Nevertheless, I found it confusing that it says in the ini file to set things to „0“ if I want to deactivate it.
I leave the airbreak keys the way they are and just deactivate the rest, Problem solved.
PS: calling me out for my „wrong upbringing“, followed by calling me an „overentitled cunt“ just by calling out your unfriendly tone says more about you than me.
TLDR: I made a mistake (I admit) and you are an unfriendly person.
PS: I will consider setting the values to 400 you suggested.
@sjaak327 Wow, nice and helpful comment dude, congratulations!
I changed the keys back to normal and the problem still persists when pressing the "change camera view" button.
But since you only want to rant and belittle other people asking for help, just forget it and thanks for nothing.
PS: this is a known error that has been around for years (there is a forum thread on LCPDFR on this), so basically I just bothered you with something you did.
@sjaak327 Quick addition: it has nothing to do with the "C" key. The airbreak on/off function is bound to the ingame "change camera view" button.
I changed that from "C" to "V" and now, I toggle airbreak with the "V" key. So, that seems to be the issue here.
@sjaak327 Thanks for the first reply. For me, it toggles airbreak on/off by simply pressing "C".
I guess, it has something to dy with my tinkering of the ini file. I deactivated all special keys by setting everything to "0", including all the airbreak keys.
So my ini file looks like this:
AirbreakUp=0 //Airbreak Up, Default W
AirbreakDown=0 //Airbreak Down, Default S
AirbreakForw=0 //Airbreak Forward, Default Num 8
AirbreakBack=0 //Airbreak Back, Default Num 2
AirbreakRight=0 //Airbreak Right, Default Num 6
AirbreakLeft=0 //Airbreak Left, Default Num 4
AirBreakKey1=0 //Air Break Default G
AirBreakKey2=0 //Air Break Default 6
I guess that this causes the issue. If so, why does airbreak default to "C" instead of simply not wokring at all (what I was trying to achieve here)?
Hey, is there any way to disable the airbreak toggle on/off function? It seems to be hardcoded to the "C" key and I can't change it in the ini file.
Since I change my camera with the "C" key, I end up floating in the air every time I want to change my perspective.
Thanks in advance for the help!
