Chaos Mod V is an attempt to mimic the Chaos mods found on SA and VC.
Basically, every 30 seconds the game will trigger a random effect. This effect can be anything from giving you an RPG to exploding all nearby vehicles or making every nearby ped dance.
There are one-time and timed effects. One timed effects will run only once when the effect is started, while timed effects will run for 90 seconds (by default) after they've been started.
This makes gameplay significantly more surprising, as literally anything could happen every time an effect starts. Right now the mod features around 320 unique effects.
A spreadsheet containing all the existing effects can be found here (very outdated and won't be updated anymore).
The mod also comes with a simple configuration tool. You can do anything from changing how often an effect should start to toggling individual effects and changing all kind of settings individually for any effect.
Also this mod is open source and licensed with GPLv3. Feel free to do whatever you want with it as long as it doesn't violate the license in any way.
Installation / Updating:
Vanilla (the recommended way)
Make sure you have ScriptHookV installed!
Otherwise just drop the ChaosMod.asi and the chaosmod folder (don't extract the content!) into your GTA directory.
FiveM
Drop the ChaosMod.asi into the plugins folder inside the FiveM/FiveM Application Data/ folder (create the plugins folder if it doesn't exist already).
The chaosmod folder still goes into your normal GTA directory.
Additional note for Wine / Proton users
Make sure to add dinput8 as a native override, otherwise asiloader won't run. Also install dotnet48 through winetricks / protontricks if you want to run the ChaosModVConfig.exe.
Please do note that some mods (e.g. trainers or visual mods) can conflict with some effects! If you are experiencing any problems try disabling all other mods before reporting them back!
Also make sure you run chaosmod/ChaosModVConfig.exe to look through its options to customize the mod to your liking!
Make sure to check the config utility every once in a while to see if there's an update available!

whenever I start the game I get the same error that connection to TwitchChatVotingProxy.exe was abandoned,how do I fix that
add an effect that spawns a bunch of black people with hammers riding boars who attack you (hog riders)

@Btb0123 Twitch integration is turned off by default. Just install it by putting both the chaosmod.asi and the chaosmod folder in the Grand Theft Auto V folder.

hi, hope this is right place for a suggestion.
i think visual affects that dont necessarily affect the gameplay such as mat fullbright, snow, la noir, no sky, blackout etc. should be permanently rotating instead of being vote options, similar to meta effects.
for example, it randomly picks one of such effects (+ nothing can also be an option) and you play in mat full bright for 5/10 (?) minutes and then it automatically switches to something else.
or even more similar to meta effects, one of such effects can randomly activate every now and then and stays for sometime.
people dont really select such effects over those affecting gameplay and understandibly so as they are just a nice touch and variation to the normal game. id like to see them more often.
also matto still not doing full run on fullbright or snow so...
i think this would be a nice touch

Is it just me or the mod brokes the game?
i have issue due to playing the mission prologue.
1. i was gonna take cover when michael and brad goes into the wall, after seconds they cover now.
and 2. after going outside then killed few cops, michael or trevor and brad goes in to wall in the corner.
is there anyway to fix?

This mod's great! but, there's a few problems I encountered:
1: scooter brothers doesn't work, it just launches the peds into the sky and they fall to their death.
2: Balla squad works, but they don't spawn with their car
3: Blue sultan, extreme griefer jesus and juggernaut never spawn
4: space ranger and angry alien don't spawn with their guns
5: revive dead peds crashes the game if there are dead peds
Hope there can be a fix soon!
@tupil96 Are you on an older build of the game by any chance? Those effects are should be working fine on the newest version.

Good mod, but here's one issue:
Random Traffic causes the game to crash.
