Semi Realistic handling for the Dune Loader based on the legendary 1950's Dodge Power Wagon, the first civilian marketed 4X4 truck in America.
Powered by a gasoline flathead 230 c.i. inline six cylinder that made a fair 120 HP and equipped with a rugged four speed manual transmission and dual range transfer case allowing the operator to select between Hi and LO gearing ranges as well as 2 and 4 wheel drive.
The Power Wagon was never intended to be driven long distances or high speeds and as a result even the Hi gearing range is extremely low compared to most cars.
This means that despite its immense torque and pulling power the Power Wagon could barely exceed 55 mph and I tried to replicate this as well as I could but GtaV doesn't like extremely low gear ranges and I cant make 1st gear much lower without giving the truck too many gears.
I also gave the suspension a healthy amount of bounce and a fair amount of body roll. It's fairly likely that the truck will begin to tip over in high speed hard turns. Why would I make this possible you ask? Because its not a freaking sports car, that's why.
The truck is now 4 wheel drive, its incredibly slow but its off roading ability has been increased greatly and it is now capable of climbing almost any hill and can push stationary cars fairly well.
Manual transmission mod recommended so the game won't upshift early on steep hills.
Installation instructions are included in the readme.

Why don't you actually create a Dodge Power Wagon instead of handling?
@IAmGtaBoy Not everyone can get zmodeller, the model, and can get the knowledge, skills and textures to make the model work. Let alone the meta's and the time it takes etc...so handling is a good option, and for all you know, maybe this person really likes the GTA version. Simple as that.
@IAmGtaBoy If someone made a Power Wagon mod it would still need handling Sherlock. No one wants to drive a 2wd POS that looks like badass 4x4. Why don't you "actually create" a better mod or at least give your one and only mod a proper name.
WTF is a "Big Cam Block Engine" anyway? you dyslexic? lol
@Namie243 Thanks for your support, if I could find a good model I would definitely convert one.
And you are correct, some people want only vanilla vehicles and weapons in their game to maintain the Rockstar lore.
@IAmGtaBoy Oh I get it, you are offended because this truck runs on gasoline.
@Impactjunky I'm actually a big fan of HEMI engines.
@IAmGtaBoy Same here
@Impactjunky I'll change my rating, but still people would love to see a power wagon. I should buy a model of one.
@IAmGtaBoy Thanks man
For second i was excited somebody made gooseneck for gta5
@IAmGtaBoy Unfortunately V8 suv/truck gasoline engines sounds are pretty much not present in gta5. Some sounds are ok, but have this diesel idle to it, Baller is the one i like most, but it's still not even close to real and we could use like 5 of them for variety.
@tall70 The Windsor sounds like a generic large stock V8 to me. I use it for a lot of old V8 sounds because it has no rev limiter. I also wanted to ask you if you could share your secret with me about stopping wheel camber. This truck has solid axles but I don't know how to stop the wheels from cambering.
@Impactjunky I'll check Windsor, thanks for tip...I gave you reply in drive trains, forgot to name tag it, i used simply Sandking handling flag, it worked on my E109 truck without glitches, because this trick in gta4 was doing mesh spikes through vehicle hood, but with e109 it almost moves suspension arms correctly nps.
But if you remember in gta4 they had solid axle "with wheel tilt, or without". We really need WITH tilt for this. If you would tilt rotate sideways whole body of vehicle with independent suspension it would tilt wheels with it keeping them level with body side, but not with solid axles.......There was somebody here on forum who maybe knows what each number in flags mean, or maybe these numbers are same in gta4, then we can just change it in EditIV and check numbers in file and try it in gta5. I'll give this test some day soon.
@tall70 Thank you very much :) I really appreciate it
@Impactjunky Flags are same gta4 and gta5...so i could simply check what i want in program EditIV, read number in gta4 handling file, then use it in gta5. You can download EditIV, get somewhere gta4's handling.dat and try numbers your self.
Rear solid axle with front independent suspension, but no swing is 360020 model flag...
However it's trick of solid axle+McPherson combined and that used to glitch independent suspension arms through hood of car, so you have to test it on each car you want it. I just tried it on my e109 it has no problems.
I also tried front & back independent suspension with NO swing for Baller where rear should be also multi link independent and it also works, just suspension parts behind wheels don't move correctly, but it's hard to see it anyways...model flag for that is 660080...check it out on baller it's so much better.
The first Power Wagon actually came out in 1946.
