Mod Functions and controls
Manual Weapon Drop
DpadRight:
Press once in 500ms, to drop
Press 2x in 500ms, to throw lightly,
Press 3x in 500ms, to throw hard
Manual Weapon Pickup
DpadRight:
Press once to pickup a nearby weapon
There is 3 pickup animations depending on where the weapon is in relation to your body, Low, Menium and High.
NPC Actions:
If you are close to a NPC, pressing DpadRight will hand your current weapon to the NPC.
If you leave a weapon on the ground. Nearby NPCs MAY pick up weapons if they're unarmed.
Toggle Auto NPC Actions: Press Shift-N to enable/disable NPC auto pickup/weapon handoff.
Toggle Carry Mode: Press DPadLeft (provided you're not in a vehicle) to toggle between carry mode and normal weapon handling.
In carry mode, you can deholster one-handed weapons. Allowing the player to carry 2 weapons at a time, while able to use the 1 handed weapon.
Note: You can only pickup 1 handed weapons while carrying a weapon in Carrymode.
Carry Mode (Carry weapons in left hand) PREVENTS WEAPONS FROM EVER DISAPPEARING, THE WEAPON WILL PERSIST AND REMAIN VISBLE AT ALL TIMES INCLUDING:
-Swimming,
-climbing objects
-climbing ladders,

-anytime your weapon woudl normally auto holster, it will not, and just remain attached to your left hand.

JUST PUT THE "REALISTIC WEAPONS.DLL" FILE IN YOUR SCRIPT FOLDER AAND ENJOY! :-D
And my sprint key is Lshift. it makes alarm everytime. please make key custom ini
@misisipi Yes The next version will have an .ini file that will allow you to choose which buttons you want to do what. Sorry it is conflicting with keyboard users currently. Stay tuned for an update ! and sorry for the oversight

This is amazing, especially for a beta release. There a a couple minor things though
There's no way to get weapons back from npc without killing them
Weapons in carry mode or just dropped regularly reflect all attachments except for luxury finishes:

and the functions still work when near context sensitive interactions like speaking to npc, using in-game computers and navigating trainer menus:

I imagine the later will be resolved whenever button configuration is added, but otherwise this is great stuff
@N. Man Thanks sooo much! This detailed reply is very useful ! To you and anyone with tips on the first version, I am making detailed notes for the next version which will have many improvements with explanations.
@thalilmythos You should be able to holster your weapon to enter the vehicle. Auto holster doesnt happen automatically thats all. But thank you ! every comment helps me plan a better release :-)
Ver 1.1 Was uploaded with minor fixes, and before i added the important changes. And it still isnt available/approved. For best version I suggest waiting till 2.0, which i will upload today and may take a day or so to become available. But will have .INI, pear finishes saving, and other adjustments.. In the mean time, any other suggestions or additions are welcome! :-D
@N. Man --After struggling to fix the Luxury finishes retaining (like “varmod_luxe” ), i learned they are known to appear only on ped‐wielded guns (and in some cases, on the weapon wheel icon).
As soon as it’s dropped, the model reverts to a more generic “un‐finished” asset.
The only partial exception is the Knuckle Duster with special engravings – that should appear on the ground since it’s actually a different base model.. The MK2 livery's and colors seem to work , but I may not be able to fix the platinum pearl deluxe finish not retaining when dropped. However it can re apply when you pick it up, and even save/load, even though it will look wrong on the ground until you pick it up. I will keep working on it though.

Tried it, will have to wait for a new version since the current controls conflict for keyboard users. Been scratching my head on why I keep doing the carry mode, turns out just pressing A on the keyboard does it. Recognizes addon weapons tho, which is good
@ExenoChrono Yes keyboard users should wait for the next version! It will have an .ini file so you can set the controls to anything you want. Sometimes it take a few days for a new version to upload.
Currently not recommended for keyboard users, They - DpadLeft -button on the controller which triggers Carrymode, is also automatically triggered when you hit the "A" key on the keyboard. Even though the code does not tell it too. Even with custom button mapping the "A" key will always trigger carry mode, which makes the player turn Left. So you cant go left without triggering carrymode. I am working on a fix for a later version to prevent this. And allow keyboard users to enjoy the mod. Thanks for your patience, Also right now My Car saving mod will conflict with this mod, preventing this version from working if you have both installed. I found the problem for this and have applied a working fix, which i already fixed and uploaded the version for approval.
@ebeneezer82 Interesting mod, can the dual weapons carry actually be used as well?
I have this bug where I’m standing/ in cover unarmed and I click the left D Pad it removes the unarmed hand from the weapon wheel not allowing me to holster my weapons and doesn’t allow me to enter cars it could possibly due to me playing with the Los Santos Red Mod since it uses Rage Plugin but if possible can you make it so you can’t drop the Unarmed Hand also using the phone throws my weapons, and using any interaction does the same but good mod🫡
@ValleroV13 Oh wow, I never had the dropped unarmed glitch. I will definitely fix this for the next version ! Thank you for spotting this glitch ! It should be easy to fix. As for entering cars, the reason is the mod does not auto holster the weapon when you get in a vehicle, so you just need to holster the weapon, and then get in. You should be able to enter any vehicle in Carrymode also, But it may look funny when your holding your gun and steering wheel at the same time. Later version will have option to store weapons in vehicle trunks also.. As for dropping the weapon while interacting with objects. For some reason I dont get that error, i thought i wrapped the logic so that wouldn't happen, but ill look into it for sure. I will add a backup feature where you can turn off dropping and showing , but hitting shift-w or something . then you can interact with anything, and then just turn the throw/drop logic on again with shift-w.. this should give the player control in these situations.. @nj5050 You can use the weapon in your right hand, while still carrying a weapon in your left hand.. It doesn't look great, But you can. To make a different effect you can try mixing with a mod like gangster aim for 1 armed shooting, but its far from perfect.
@ebeneezer82 sorry man, but this version was just even glitchier than the first, I dropped the unarmed weapon, I couldn't even go unarmed after 20 seconds of starting playing, there's quite a couple fixes to be made right now, and you need to change the default controls because using context is a nightmare, it's invasive
@thalilmythos Well No one else is having those troubles, The other person that had an issue was clear about what it was and now I was able to fix it. As for your comments. I don't even know what you mean ? --you say I couldn't even go unarmed after 20 seconds of starting playing, there's quite a couple fixes to be made right now, --- But you only explain 1 glitch and explain it very poorly?> Explain it better please, and then maybe explain the other ones too ! Since you say there is more than 1. Plus I said its not for keyboard users, so if your using a keyboard/mouse then your stuck for now.
