I changed the flightsuits, helmet colors, shoulder patches and gloves for Pilot 01 and Pilot 02 for my own purposes and I thought others might have some use for the changes.
File locations:
Pilot 01 ...\GTAV\mods\x64e.rpf\models\cdimages\componentpeds_s_m_y.rpf\s_m_y_pilot_01.ytd
Pilot 01 Helmet ...\GTAV\mods\x64e.rpf\models\cdimages\pedprops.rpf\pedprops.rpf
Pilot 02 ...\GTAV\mods\x64e.rpf\models\cdimages\componentpeds_s_m_m.rpf\s_m_m_pilot_02.ytd
Pilot 02 Helmet ...\GTAV\mods\x64e.rpf\models\cdimages\pedprops.rpf\s_m_m_pilot_02_p.ytd
You can mix and match colors of flightsuits, helmets and I've included a set of black gloves and different shoulder patches as well.
Open the .ytd file(s) with OpenIV, for helmets change the name of p_head_diff_000_a to p_head_diff_000_aOrig. Then rename the wanted helmet color, for example p_head_diff_000_aTan to p_head_diff_000_a.
p_head_diff_002_a to p_head_diff_002_aOrig. Then rename the wanted helmet color, for example p_head_diff_002_aTan to p_head_diff_002_a.
If you'd like to remove the LSPD patch from the baseball cap, change p_head_diff_001_a to p_head_diff_001_aOrig. Then rename the p_head_diff_001_aBlack to p_head_diff_001_a.
Open the .ytd file(s) with OpenIV, for flightsuits change the name of lowr_diff_000_a_uni to lowr_diff_000_a_uniOrig. Then rename the wanted flightsuit color, for example lowr_diff_000_a_uniTan to lowr_diff_000_a_uni.
uppr_diff_000_a_uni to uppr_diff_000_a_uniOrig. Then rename the wanted flightsuit color, for example uppr_diff_000_a_uniTan to uppr_diff_000_a_uni.
The current list of shoulder patches is Brazil, Canada, France, Israel, Japan, Russia, South Korea, United Kingdom and the United States.
Open the .ytd file(s) with OpenID, for shoulder and chest patches change the name of decl_diff_000_a_uni to decl_diff_000_a_uniOrig. Then rename the wanted shoulder patch, for example decl_diff_000_a_uniUSA to decl_diff_000_a_uni.
I didn't include all the patches in the .ytd file(s) because it was becoming unwieldy. If you'd like a non-USA shoulder patch, just select decl_diff_000_a_uni and replace it with the wanted .dds file from the download.
For the chest patch: task_diff_000_a_uni to task_diff_000_a_uniOrig. Then rename the wanted chest patch, for example task_diff_000_a_uniUSA to task_diff_000_a_uni.
task_diff_001_a_uni to task_diff_001_a_uniOrig. Then rename the wanted chest patch, for example task_diff_001_a_uniUSA to task_diff_001_a_uni.Again for non_USA chest patches, replace task_diff_000_a_uni and task_diff_001_a_uni with the task_diff_000_a_unixxx.dds file from the download.
Last, but not least, if you'd like to use black gloves instead of the original olive drab, Open the .ytd file(s) with OpenIV, for gloves change the name of hand_diff_000_a_uni to hand_diff_000_a_uniOrig, then rename hand_diff_000_a_uniBlack to hand_diff_000_a_uni.
Once satisfied, close the model viewer and run GTAV and spawn the pilot(s) with the trainer of your choice.
I've included my work files in case you'd like to use it as a starting point for your own project.
Enjoy,
Gillman
