Requested livery for a RCAF C-17 and my original no-marking livery for the C-17. Unfortunately the C-17 available isn't a single _sign for the whole aircraft. The _sign files are for the fuselage, the wing .dds files have imbedded USAF markings.
For Boeing C-17 in the ZF1 pack and the WarpackUSA Pack
C-17 in the 140 add on planes compilation, https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/70-fighter-and-sports-planes-add-on
C-17 in WarpackUSA: https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/war-pack-special-edition-usa-add-on
Once installed with their instructions, open the dlc.rpf with OpenIV
Follow this path to the file to overwrite:
...GTAV/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/ZF1/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf/globe.ytd
or
...GTAV\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\warpackusa\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles\vehicles.rpf\globe.ytd
If you wish to retain the original liveries, while in OpenIV, extract the file ch130.ytd. I typically extract the original .ytd to the same folder as the dlc.rpf and rename it to origglobe.ytd.
...GTAV/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/ZF1/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf/ch130.ytd
Just to confirm the livery, I'd click on the globe.yft or globe_hi.yft file to open the OpenIV Model Viewer to see what the model will look like with the new livery.
Once satisfied, close the model viewer and run GTAV and spawn globe with the trainer of your choice.
In case you'd like to add your own paint, I've extracted and included the original C-17 .dds files (as a reference for where to place roundels, for example) as well as the .dds files I created.
If you'd like to upload paint for IAF, RAF, RAAF, RCAF, etc. you're more than welcome to use this as a base.
Enjoy,
Gillman
